How might we simplify Senior citizens' experience of UPI apps?

While UPI adoption has been incredible, senior citizens have difficulty adapting to the new technology, relying on someone to help them with various apps and usage.

With increased scams and targeted attacks on seniors, UPI is not as safe against scammers.

So what could different UPI apps do differently? Feature-based solution

All the UPI have the first layer where you enter the amount to send to the recipient.

PayTM shows the amount description when you enter the amount. That should be very helpful for seniors, and if they use the app in their native language, it's a big plus.

A feature that should be useful here is Amount capping in the payment screen. Let's say there is a toggle that caps the maximum amount you can send.

If the user tries to send an amount higher than X, the app throws an error to lower the amount.

Alternative Solution:

UPI lite is a good start as the max amount is 200 rupees.

Note: you need a UPI ID in place from where you can add money to your UPI lite wallet.

Let me know what you think about this :)

PS: My grandmother has been using Gpay for a couple of years, and it's been the most user-friendly app for senior citizens, in my opinion.
