Do you hate scrolling back to the last post after accidentally clicking the home button? Can we address this issue?
I was not sure how many users faced this problem. So, I went ahead and tried to compile data on this issue. As you know, data is essential to validate the problem.

“Without data, you are just another person with an opinion.” - Edwards Deming.
There are many blog posts dedicated to this issue: https://www.google.com/search?q=accidentally+pressing+the+home+button+social+media&source=lmns&bih=638&biw=1408&client=firefox-b-d&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi7hNnhl9TxAhXLXysKHez5CawQ_AUoAHoECAEQAA.
I was unable to gather proper data charts but, the search results show that the demand for this feature exists.

To address this issue, I wanted to make the feature memorable and without any additional clicks.

"Hold" feature:
The "hold" feature for the home button will allow users to save their place when browsing on a mobile device, quickly returning to the previous post. (See working prototype below)
It is a bonus for social media platforms to engage the users, as this feature can improve DAU as the users will be more engaged.
What are your thoughts on this feature? Have you experienced a similar issue?
